It's been one year since two great guys - Rich and Andrew from Goodrich Coffee and Tea - have given My Cousin Tone' a monthly stage to play jazz. It is hard to believe a year has gone by since that first performance last August. We've been most thankful to the familiar faces we've seen and to those who stopped in for the first time. We have had some fond memories over the past year with spectacular performances by Kathleen Irish on trumpet and Mike SantaMaria on sax. We've welcomed the stellar keyboards of Jim Matteliano. It is where we first met the marvelous Jillian Ritchie and been graced by her jazz vocals. And we remember with smiles the uplifting and powerful playing of Emily Mondschein. We also had the pleasure of Jim Sansone on trumpet and Lou Barrone on keyboards sitting in with us.
Weather permitting, we hope to be outside playing on the patio. Bring chairs as we play some of the favorites over the past year. Nothing like the cool sounds of Horace Silver, Lou Donaldson, and inspired vocals such as Perdido by Sarah Vaughn on a summer evening. Great food, drinks, beer, wine, and ice cream! Come out Friday August 12th and help us celebrate one year of memorable performances at Goodrich and support two guys who are helping to keep jazz alive in Western New York. Goodrich Coffee is located on 9450 Main Street in Clarence. Their web site is: www.goodrichcoffee.com
