The band has been busy rehearsing! We are fresh off rehearsing last night where we were graced with the presence of Joanne Lorenzo. One of the best vibraphone players on the planet, super person, and musical talent galore. We are working on debuting new songs, two of which the composer and artist themselves were generous enough to give us their original music.
We were also very honored to provide the entertainment last week at the PEDS Wine Fest that supports research for pediatric children who suffer from digestive diseases. A great event and organization to support. Assembling a small quartet fronted by Jillian Ritchie on vocals, the songs and music made for a festive event. Please visit their website at www.pedsgi.org and give love, prayers, and support.
The band will be at our favorite coffee place tonight - Goodrich Coffee on Main Street in Clarence beginning at 7:30pm. This place has become our home for testing out new material and we will be doing so tonight. Come on out for good coffee, eats, ice cream, and drinks.
Mark your calendar for next Friday, September 30th at 8pm as the band takes the stage at Iris in the Maple Entertainment Complex located at Maple and Sweet Home Roads in Amherst. We are rehearsing a generous two sets of hard bop jazz to include new songs and jazz vocals. We need all the support we can muster that night to show that we can keep jazz alive in WNY at a music and entertainment venue. Come out and not only support jazz but enjoy the new Chef and wonderful drinks and food at Iris!
Hope to see you all enjoy the music and keeping jazz alive in WNY!
