My Cousin Tone' will be returning to the Iris stage on December 15th beginning at 7:00pm in a festive holiday mood! Be sure to come and hear some great jazz music as we continue to explore different arrangements. Including some jazzy holiday tunes.
We will have our usual crew of instrumentalists and vocals by Mary McMahon. We will probably do the tune "Take Five" to honor Dave Brubeck. His recent passing means the loss of one of the true greats of jazz. His compositions forever etched in the history of jazz and his melodic innovations continue to ripple throughout the jazz world.
As many of you know, Dave Brubeck had a close affinity to Buffalo and our own Bobby Militello toured with Dave Brubeck.
We are also pleasd to note that starting in 2013, we will be playing every third Saturday of the month on the Iris stage. Look for more information on the schedule soon.
Iris is located on the corner of Maple and Sweet Home. There has been some remodeling going on that has made Iris a more expansive club. The transition to a true music venue continues. Be sure to come by and check it out. And check My Cousin Tone' out also! We hope to see you there!
