Music on Main This Thursday: Jazz and Wine with My Cousin Tone'

We end our hot August month with a performance for the Music on Main event in Williamsville! The band, coming off our fantastic time at the Lewiston Jazz Festival, is set for an encore performance in front of the Cabernet Cafe in Williamsville, NY. They are located at 9 N. Ellicot Street - a few yards in from Main Street and behind Sweet Jenny's.

A perfect setting. Cabernet Cafe is a wine bar with a great selection of what else? Wine! So bring your lawn chairs, coolers, order wine, and listen to My Cousin Tone'.

This will be our first time for this event at a new location. We have previously played at the corner of Rock Street and Main so please note the new location.

It will most likely be our last outdoor performance for this year. Our third in a row beginning with the Asa Ransom House, Lewiston Jazz Festival, and now Music On Main - don't miss it.

Starts at 6pm and we go until 9pm- or when we can't read the charts in the dark! Hope to see you there!

Many Thanks To Our My Cousin Tone' Lewiston Jazz Festival Fans!!

A special note to thank our family, friends, and fans of My Cousin Tone' for your warm -hearted support at the Lewiston Jazz Festival. It was a gorgeous day of beautiful sunshine, beautiful people, and beautiful music. No better combination.

What a concert performance it was! Mary McMahon shined and her sultry version of Moondance was mentioned in the Buffalo News! Karen Ragusa on bass led us through two solid sets of toe tapping jazz music. The giant of the saxophone, Tim Martin, fabulous and Andy Peruzzini marvelous on trumpet went into the street to close it out with Grazin' In The Grass. Yes - how many guessed right!? Here is a picture of the original 45 RPM!

Rounding out the special concert performance were Bill Basil on drums, Tony Zambito on percussion, and Jim Matteliano on keyboards.

Two Concerts This Week! Lewiston Jazz Festival and Summer Concert On the Lawn

This is a special week for My Cousin Tone'!

We have two very special concerts!

The first takes place tomorrow night from 6:30pm until 8:30pm on the front lawn of the Asa Ransom. This is part of the Summer Concert Series put on by the Clarence Hollow Association. A fabulous family event to bring lawn chairs and coolers. Refreshments are available also. It is a beautiful setting to fill the air with the great sounds of jazz music.

This Saturday, we have the honor and privilege of helping to kick-off the Saturday portion of the Lewiston Jazz Festival. Our performance begins at 12:30pm in the afternoon and we have two hours of fantastic jazz. Join Karen Ragusa on bass, Jim Matteliano on keyboards, Bill Basil on Drums, Tim Martin on sax, Andy Peruzzini on trumpet, Tony Zambito on percussion, and Mary McMahon on vocals.

This Saturday also will be in remembrance of the late Dick Griffo (pictured) and Jim Kurzdorfer. Dick was the inspirational mentor who came up with the idea for the band - originally intended to be all female. Jim Kurzdorfer also helped us in our journey early on arranging and providing guidance. It has been a wonderful journey the past three years and we still feel their presence. We dedicate Saturday to these two jazz greats.

So please join us for both special concerts and performances this week. It is jazz festival season and time to enjoy!

ASA Ransom Summer Concert On The Lawn This Thursday With My Cousin Tone'

Our hot August month continues this week after our gig at Iris on Saturday night! This Thursday, August 22nd, the band takes the lawn (there will be a small stage) at ASA Ransom House in Clarence Hollow. Beginning at 6:30pm until 8:30pm. This is part of the annual Clarence Hollow Association Summer Concert Series.

The ASA Ransom is located on Main Street in the center of Clarence Hollow. Fantastic front lawn and a beautiful setting. This is what is pictured here in this article - the start of the front lawn.

Last month, Gruvology put on a great show to a packed lawn. Come on out to this unique event. Lawn chairs, coolers, picnic baskets, and the likes to make it an enjoyable summer evening. Filled with the sounds of jazz.

Bring the family, friends, and neighbors to this free event. Will will provide two hours of jazz standards and jazz classics. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Tomorrow Begins Hot August Nights for MCT! Save the Date for Our Appearance at the Lewiston Jazz Festival!!

Tomorrow night, My Cousin Tone' kicks off a hot August month of performances. Including our scheduled performance at the Lewiston Jazz Festival. It is shaping up to be a spectacular month of four appearances!

First up is tomorrow night August 10th beginning at 8pm we will be at Pizza Plant on Transit Road. This is always a fun time. Good food, good beer, good wine, good people, and good music.

Then, we will be returning to Iris on August 17th beginning at 8pm. This time we return to the stage for a full night until 10:30pm so don't miss it.

On August 22nd, we will be performing on the front lawn of the ASA Ransom House in Clarence as part of the Clarence Hollow Association Concert Series from 6:30pm until 8:30pm.. This is a fantastic event folks. The front lawn in front of the ASA Ransom House is historic and always draws a large crowd. Gruvology wowed 'em last month and we are ready to do the same! Bring lawn chairs, coolers, food, and drinks. The ASA Ransom House will also be selling food and drinks.

On August 24th we are pleased and excited to make our first appearance at the LEWISTON JAZZ FESTIVAL. We kick off the Saturday portion on the porch of the historic Frontier House beginning at 12:30pm and play until 2:30pm. Plenty of room for the crowd. Don't miss our performance and come on out to support the jazz festival.

Finally, on August 29th, we will be plaing during the Music on Main Event in Williamsville on the corner of Rock and Main Street beginning at 6pm until 9pm. It is a wonderful location and this our thrid year - a must come-to blast of music you don't want to miss.

So come on out to all the events and join us. It is going to be a hot summer month of August filled with music, friendship, fun, and good cheer.

Do all you can to Keep Jazz Alive - there is a resurgence happening right now - keep it alive folks.
